I am ready.

I am surrounded by wonderful piles of handmade lovliness, destined for the Niche-all wrapped up market in Launceston, tomorrow and Saturday. 

I've made a bit of everything..... something to [hold], something to [soothe], something to [look at], something to [wear], something to [cocoon], something to [give], and somethings [just because].

broomstick bliss

 

A wonderful discovery on Kirsty's blog this morning.  Something I had never seen, or heard of before - Broomstick Lace.  It has been hiding - well, hiding from me as least.  I was smitten, intrigued and rather excited.

I had to learn how to create this stitch immediately!  Housework promptly neglected.

It's quite wonderful - rather ingenious.  My pattern looks a little different from Kirsty's, but that's why it's so wonderful - it lends itself to variations on the theme.

Instant gratification - I feel very satisfied.

I have my own wrist cuff now - and when I'm able, will definitely be experimenting more.
