The [first day] was spent cleaning. organising. rearranging. finding.
Neglected and forgotten treasures discovered that had been collected and gathered during days that weren't so bright - put away haphazardly and mindlessly with the notion that someday they would be made into something beautiful.
Found :: snow white organic linen :: vintage denim :: printed cotton fabrics in divine shades of red, black, grey and white :: a black linen shirt ready to be cut up :: thrifted woollen blanket :: preloved hand knitted garments begging to be repurposed :: natural linen :: a little whimsy in the form of vintage suffolk puffs.
A pile of possiblities.
For the rest of the [first day]I will - dream and bathe children, design and cook dinner, draw and sing songs, plan and go for a walk, unfold fabric and tuck my babies into bed, sit quietly and begin to cut into cloth.
On the [second day] I will sew.

Sounds like a wonderful way to start the year! I can relate to the unfolding and discovering, although I have (yet) more wall painting planned for tomorrow.

I wish I could say you've inspired me to do some cleaning. But, alas....
It does sound like a great day though, with all that discovery going on. And creative juices flowing.
