everything old is new again

I'm a sentimental soul ::

I find such happiness in welcoming something that someone else has loved into my own life.  That's why I adore thrift stores.  Each found 'treasure' comes with it's own energy, secret history and story - my imagination is left with the pleasure of wondering where it came from, who loved it and how it was used. 

A new little project - just for fun ::

At the end of each week, for the rest of this year, I thought i'd share my favorite item found during that week.

Week 01/52
Yellow 'birdcage' cookie jar, complete with canaries! ::  underneath it reads - Superior Underglaze, Made in Japan ::  I image that it's fairly old, the glaze is gloriously crackled :: a style that usually doesn't catch my eye, but this just spoke to me - must be the birds! :: $3.00 .
